I. INTRODUCTION
My VR fitness adventure started in December 2024, and it’s been one heck of a rollercoaster. It all began with an app called Supernatural VR, which completely changed my perspective on exercise and made me fall in love with boxing. I’m not a pro by any means, but man—it makes you sweat and gives you a real workout.
When winter hit, I picked up Golf+ to fill that void of missing golf season. I even bought one of those VR golf club accessories, which turned out to be a complete disaster (it almost broke my controller!) well the wall almost broke my controller. But I’m still on the lookout for that perfect club.
At the end of the day, I’m just a regular guy who wanted to stay active during winter—and the habit stuck around all year.
I personally own and use the Meta Quest 2, Kiwi Design accessories, and workout equipment mentioned in this article. II. THE QUEST 2 ITSELF FOR FITNESS
I love my Quest 2. I still remember that “wow” moment the first time I put it on. After a year of use, it’s still going strong. The comfort improved dramatically when I upgraded to the KIWI design comfort strap with the hard back plate that clicks into position—it’s perfect.
As a glasses-wearer, I was worried about comfort, but the included spacer works perfectly. I know prescription lenses are an option, but I’m not ready to make that jump yet.
Battery life has been solid—just remember to charge it fully right after your sessions.
One crucial tip: never leave your headset where sunlight can hit the lenses directly, as it can permanently damage them.
While I’ll eventually upgrade to the Quest 3, I’m completely satisfied after a year of regular use.
III. SUPERNATURAL VR APP REVIEW
The Experience:
This app is one of the best motivation kicks in the butt you can get. They offer meditation, stretching, boxing, and a flow workout with bats (not my favorite, but the boxing—I LOVVVEEE ITTT!). It constantly pushes me to improve, and the overall aesthetic is clean and modern. The coaches are incredibly good at what they do.
The Good:
It’s become my exercise routine, and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet. Sure, there are days I don’t feel like working out, but 30 seconds in, I’m completely hooked. The electronic genre music is awesome, and the boxing constantly challenges your technique and speed. As someone who works from home, it’s been perfect for staying active.
The Not-So-Good:
Honestly, my only minor complaint is that I’d like new music more frequently—but I’m there for the sweat, and it definitely delivers. The meditation and sleep features are nice, but I primarily use it for workouts. The VR environments could be more immersive, but that’s a small detail when you’re focused on fitness.
Verdict:
Hell yes, it’s worth it. Check their website for current pricing, but if you use it 3-4 times per week, you’ll get your money’s worth. It’s a fitness app that does its job—you just need to show up.
IV. ACCESSORY REVIEWS

Comfort is good, and they do their job well. They can get a bit slippery when you sweat, but overall they’re reliable. Golf Club VR Accessory
I literally threw mine out after the first use. It was one of those clubs that slides onto the end of your controller, but it had no proper grip mechanism. During my first swing, the thing flew across the room. If you’re looking for a golf accessory, make sure it has a double-locking system that securely fastens from both sides—otherwise, skip it. Still in the lookout for the best one.
Boxing Experience
I’ve primarily used Supernatural VR for boxing. It makes you want to constantly improve your technique and reminds you to keep your core engaged. The controllers themselves act like light weights, adding to the workout intensity.
V. MY CURRENT FITNESS RESULTS
VR fitness will help you lose weight, but you have to commit. It definitely boosts your energy levels, but you still need to eat right. I’m no fitness pro—just a guy in decent shape who feels amazing after a boxing session.
There’s a real sense of accomplishment that carries through the rest of my day, and it’s motivated me to improve other aspects of my routine like nutrition. The Facebook community is also incredibly supportive if you have questions.
After a year of consistent use, I haven’t bulked up, but my overall energy and how I feel have noticeably improved.
VI. BOTTOM LINE: WHAT’S WORTH BUYING
Worth It:
- Quest 2 – Absolutely worth it
- Supernatural VR – If you commit to using it regularly
- KIWI Design grips and head strap – Game changers for comfort
- I use a similar neck fan (different brand, but same design). This model has excellent reviews and the same cooling features that help me stay comfortable during intense boxing sessions. Neck fan.
I haven’t personally tested the BOBO VR Fan yet (it’s on my list!), but based on hundreds of positive reviews from the VR fitness community, it’s one of the most recommended anti-fogging solutions. I’ll update this article once I test it myself. - I use a similar VR face cover (different brand, but same breathable design). This Orzero model has great reviews and offers the same moisture-wicking benefits I’ve experienced with my cover.
Skip It:
- That Terrible Golf Club – A complete waste of money. I threw it out immediately. It was the type that has a screw-in feature meant to tighten the bottom part of the grip, but it simply didn’t work.
I’m now on the hunt for a reliable clip-on model and will test and report back when I find this unicorn. - Supernatural brand grips – KIWI Design offers better value
